How much will my visit cost? It depends. The $25 flat-fee office visit is no longer available. Costs now vary based on whether you use insurance and the details of your individual plan. Opting out of using health insurance means you choose to 'self-pay.' Self-pay visits may cost more.
The following is a list of approximate charges for Curry Health Center Medical's services. Additional fees may apply. We encourage all students to ask questions about how charges and billing work to avoid a surprise bill.
CHC charges rates similar to what you would experience at a community-based healthcare provider and we bill insurance as we are in-network with many health insurance plans. It is very important that you check with your health insurance plan so you understand if and how your plan will cover services at CHC.

Counseling Services Fees
Individual Sessions
- First session of the academic year (Initial Consultation or Urgent Appointment): Free
- Subsequent sessions: $20 per session
- Session limit: Up to 6 per semester
- Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP): Covers the $20 fee for individual sessions
Group Therapy & Seminars

Free of charge for all students
Summer Semester
- Enrolled in summer classes and paid health service fee: $20 per session
- Not enrolled but were enrolled in prior Spring semester: $40 per session
Cancellations & No-Shows
- No-show fee: $20, applies even to the Initial Consultation
- Cancellation policy: Cancel at least 24 hours in advance via the or by calling Counseling Services at 406-243-4712. Leave a message if calling after hours.
