- Vaccine records must be received before the 15th class day of the semester in order to avoid disruption to academic status.

Distance-Only Students
Students officially registered in Online/Distance Only status are not required to fulfill the immunization and TB screening requirements. If your status ever changes to attend classes in-person, you will need to complete these requirements.
Can online-only or distance-only students use Curry Health Center?
Yes, if they live in the Missoula area and opt in to the Health Services Fee. Once they opt in, students gain access to medical, counseling, and dental services. The Health Services Fee has been added to the Registrar’s Opt-In Fees form in the UM Solutions Center. Students can access it via the link below or by searching “Opt-In” in the UM Solutions Center.
Important:
The Health Services Fee is not prorated; students will pay the full $303 health service fee regardless of credit load. Please do not change your registration to “On-Campus.” This affects institutional reporting and may cost more.
Can online students living outside Montana use CHC through telehealth?
No. State licensing restrictions prevent CHC from providing medical or counseling telehealth to students living outside Montana, except for limited follow-up care for established patients (e.g., medication refills during breaks). Insurance billing changes do not expand access for out-of-state online students.
Can online-only/distance-only students enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP)?
Yes. All students taking 6+ credits, including self-support MSW Online students, are eligible to purchase SHIP.
This is separate from the Health Services Fee opt-in, students can choose one or both depending on their needs.
