How to sign up for UM Alerts without a NetID
Step 1 — Open the Page
Once on that page you will have three options:
- Contact login - your UM NetID profile for receiving notifications
- Admin login - Login for individuals who manage Regroup channels
- "No SSO Credentials? Click here to login." - for individuals who don't have a Netid and would like to receive notifications.
Step 2 — Select “No SSO Credentials? Click here to login.”
You will be taken to "Login to Regroup" - From the options below Login - select "Don't have an account? Sign up"
Step 3 — Fill out your profile information
Enter your first and last name, email address and set a secure password. When you are finished click "Signup" near the bottom left side of the form.
Step 4 — Verify your email address
Log into the email account you provided to Regroup and select "Confirm Via Web"
Step 5 — Login to regroup using your email
Select “No SSO Credentials? Click here to login.”
Login with the email and password you provided in step 3.
Step 6 — Edit Profile
Select "Edit profile" at the top right of the page -
Towards the bottom of the page you will find some accordion tabs, expanding each will show related options:
- Contact Password - allows you to reset your password
- My groups - displays the list of groups you are a part of
- My Self-subscribed groups - shows the list of channels that you have opted-in to
- All channels managed by the admins
- Other channels to subscribe - shows a list of available channels. Channels marked "Can Subscribe" may be feely joined. Channels marked "Restricted" require an administrator of that channel to approve new users.
- All files - any files shared publically within Regroup
