Personal Summary
Ivie English, PhD provides evidence-based, culturally affirming care to students at Curry Health Center Counseling Services. Drawing primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions, she supports students with a range of health concerns and in navigating transitions and relationships. She has experience providing care to adults of all ages in a variety of clinical settings, including: Veteran's Affairs (VA) and private hospitals, inpatient and residential settings, community health centers, specialty clinics, and outpatient mental health clinics. As a clinician, she aims to provide inclusive, strengths-based, client-centered care. As a public policy advocate and researcher, she seeks to increase access to health care for all, while advancing integrated behavioral health and the holistic provision of care in all settings.
