Required Trainings Assigned to All Employees January 13!
Dear colleagues,
Required trainings will be assigned to all employees Tuesday, January 13.
These trainings go beyond meeting university policy and compliance requirements—they help us understand how these shape our work and protect our community. These courses are particularly important this year, as they have been updated in response to new and evolving laws and regulatory requirements. By completing them, we strengthen a campus culture rooted in respect, safety, and accessibility for everyone.
The courses have been available since October, and we’ve been sharing reminders over time to help everyone prepare. As we approach the January assignment date, any required trainings not yet completed will be assigned.
Links to each assigned course will be emailed directly to you, and you will have six weeks to complete them. You may also access them by logging into at www.umt.edu/neoed using your NetID.
What Courses are Required?
All employees must complete the following required courses. We understand that completing the 4 required courses will take a few hours, and we truly appreciate the time you’ll invest.
1. Cybersecurity: Data Privacy and Safe Computing
2. Digital Accessibility
3. Discrimination and Harassment
4. Family Education and Privacy Act (FERPA)
New employees will also be assigned the Indian Education for All course. If you have not completed this course, you should also enroll and complete it now.
