Feedback Request: UM's Institutional Learning Outcomes

Dear colleagues,
Over the past year, we have organized the outcomes of all academic programs, reviewed the General Education framework, and gathered input from Student Affairs to develop UM’s Institutional Learning Outcomes (ILOs). These outcomes define the essential knowledge and skills our students gain through General Education, academic programs, and curricular and co-curricular experiences. The ILOs are organized into four broad areas:
- Inquire and Analyze
- Communicate and Create
- Connect and Participate
- Curricular and Co-Curricular Foundations.
The first three make up the structure of our ILOs supported by the foundations. We are seeking feedback about whether the ILOs, as described, fully capture the learning we expect of all UM students.
Please review the ILO materials and complete a brief survey by February 1.
Feedback Survey:
Your input will help refine the framework before it is finalized and implemented. Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your perspective.
