Bridging Divides: Strengthening People-to-People Engagement Between the U.S. and China
About
The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center has partnered with Beijing University, Fudan University, and Guangxi University in Beijing, Shanghai, and Nanning respectively for this unique opportunity. During the program students will explore China’s economy, history, and culture. The program will be supported by a Mansfield Center staff member in China, as well as pre departure orientation sessions.
With opportunities to engage with local university students and to explore China’s fast-growing cities, this short-term educational program is designed to expose a new generation of students to contemporary Chinese culture and its millennia-long history. This program will support academic inquiry and the strengthening of tools to achieve cross cultural understanding. It is fully supported and includes round trip flights, lodging, transportation, cultural tours, and meals. Please note that the study tour is not a credit-bearing UM course offering.
