Curriculum Deadline (01/30/26)
Overview
The Faculty Senate Spring Curriculum Deadline is Friday, January 30, 2026. Faculty must submit all Level I, Level II, and Program Modification proposals on Courseleaf by this date. College-level review, including approval by the relevant chair and dean, must be completed by February 9, for all curriculum changes intended for implementation in Fall Semester 2026.
Please refer to the Curriculum Handbook and the following Faculty Senate procedures for an overview of the curriculum review process:
- Curriculum Handbook
- Procedure 201.00: Curriculum Review, Overview
- Procedure 201.60: Effective Date of Approved Curriculum Forms
Please ensure all electronic forms are complete, submitted, and in the workflow by the deadline.
Important:
- Chairs of affected programs must be notified during submission. Their review is not required before submission, but they will be invited to review the proposal and share any concerns with the proposer and relevant review committees.
- Late proposals will not be accepted for the Spring cycle.
Request to Plan Deadlines:
- Request to Plan (RTP) due dates:
- January 21, 2026 (for the March BOR meeting)
- March 25, 2026 (for the May BOR meeting)
The timing of curriculum proposals is driven by the due dates maintained by OCHE and by the BOR meeting schedule. Please see the following links to pages on the Montana University System (MUS) website for further information.
Please be aware that although Level I and Level II proposals are accepted by OCHE on a rolling monthly basis, their inclusion in the quarterly BOR meetings do not follow immediately upon the prior month’s due date. As you are planning the timing of your proposal, be prepared for a certain degree of lag-time between submission to OCHE and inclusion upon the BOR meeting agenda
