Faculty exam instructions
The ODE Testing Center administers exams exactly as directed by faculty. Any changes to exam administration, including adjustments to timing or format, must be approved by the faculty member in writing before the exam.
Exam start time
Exams begin promptly at the scheduled start time.
- No additional study time is permitted before the exam begins.
- No additional time is added for late arrival.
Late arrival
- Students who arrive up to 15 minutes late will have that time deducted from their total exam time.
- Students arriving more than 15 minutes late will be marked as a No Show, and the exam will be returned to faculty. Students must work directly with their faculty member to determine next steps.
Repeated late arrivals, no shows & rescheduling
The ODE Testing Center is committed to providing access to approved testing accommodations while ensuring a well-coordinated testing environment. Repeated late arrivals, missed exams (No Show), or frequent rescheduling may affect staffing, space, and coordination with faculty. If these patterns occur, the Testing Center may reach out to discuss barriers, clarify expectations, and identify strategies to support timely exam attendance. Additional advance notice or coordination with an ODE access consultant or faculty may be required.
