Welcome to AASO
Home of all things drone-related!
The mission of the Autonomous Aerial Systems Office is to drive research and development in Montana using unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or drones.
We guide the UM community through the processes and regulations of flying drones on and off campus by providing all the necessary resources. We also stimulate drone-related workforce development by providing student internship opportunities and training workshops on campus and across the state.
The Autonomous Aerial Systems Office is housed under the Broader Impacts Group at the 91次元.
You’ll find helpful resources on this site about:
- Safety rules and guidelines for flying drones
- Information on training and internships
- Services we offer
- And more!
