ASUM Agencies
ASUM funds and oversees the below student service agencies for YOU!

- Office Manager Gwen and Student Group Resource Coordinator are available to answer questions about student group recognition and funding.

- Your on-campus basic needs hub. Visit this office for resource navigation including: support finding housing, help applying for resources like SNAP/Food Stamps and Medicaid, general problem-solving and some emergency funding options.

Medical Health Resources
Curry Health Center is the campus’s own medical center offering doctors, dentists and therapists who should be able to help you. For more information and to book an appointment visit Curry Health Center.

FAQ about Curry Health Center
- Is Curry free? Each visit requires a co-pay of $20, regardless of students paying the Curry Health Center Fee.
- If you are curious about using non-campus insurance contact the .
- Does Curry Health Center accept walk-in appointments? Yes, but only for Curry Urgent Care during the Urgent Care hours. Non-emergency care requires an appointment.
- Can I get a doctor's note for my classes? Yes, but please connect with your professor about their health-exception policies.
- Is it confidential? Yes. As with all medical organizations, care at Curry Health Center is between the Doctor and the Patient in accordance with HIPPA and FERPA laws.
Mental Health Resources
Curry Health Center also offers a variety of mental health services for a wide variety of needs.
- I need therapy. Where can I go? Curry Counseling employs a team of therapists and offers low-cost, confidential support. Students' first visit is free every academic year with a $20 co-pay for every subsequent visit that can be charged to your student account. Please note, due to demand, students are limited to certain number of session per semester.
- Where can I go if I am feeling stressed? The Wellness Center, which features a variety resources including wellness coaching, the wellness wall, and more. Wellbeing appointments can be booked online at /curry-health-center/Wellbeing/ and are usually same day.
- The Wellness Wall offers convent gab-n-go resources to promote student well-being.
- The Relaxation Station, Located in Curry Health Center 111, offers a space to practice techniques for grounding and mindfulness. It is free and for up to thirty minutes per session with an unlimited number of sessions.

Mental Health Emergencies
For students who are experiencing a mental health emergency such as thoughts of harming themselves or others, or who have a friend who is struggling, the University offers a variety of services and support.

Assault Resources
- What do I do if I have been or think I may have been assaulted? The is a free and confidential resource available to students who have experienced identity-based harm including assault, stalking, or other forms of interpersonal violence.
- The located in Providence St. Patrick's Hospital is a community-based resource attached to the Providence ER.
- Where can I file a police report? Depending on if the assault took place off or on campus:
- If on campus, Title IX or UM police
- If off campus, the Missoula police station.
- Regardless of where the incident took place, students may visit SARC for support in all parts of the reporting process.
Peer Support on Campus
The Branch Center, located in the University Center, is home to a Smudge Space, the student radio station KBGA, a common space for meeting and studying, and multiple student affinity groups for peer support including:

Housing and Roommate Resources
Live On-Campus?
- If you live on campus and have concerns about your roommate, please reach out to your Resident Assistant (RA) and UM Housing. UM Housing is located in Turner Hall and available by phone at (406) 243-2611.
- If you have concerns about your roommate using banned substances please reach out to your RA and UM Housing. Keep in mind, you will not get in trouble if you are asking for help under UM Housing's Medical Amnesty Policies.
- My roommate has, or has attempted, to physically or verbally assault me. What should I do? Your first step out to your RA and UM Housing. They will connect you with the Office of Conflict, Resolution, and Policy and UMPD. We also encourage all students to visit the Student Advocacy Resource Center (SARC) for additional support in any identity-based harm situation.
Moving Off-Campus?
- Where can I find Off Campus Housing? ASUM Bear Necessities offers housing navigation support for current UM students. This office assists students finding housing from narrowing down their priorities, to comparing living on and off campus, all the way up to actually looking for an apartment and signing a lease. Appointments for Bear Necessities can be scheduled through Navigate.

Food and Nutrition Assistance
On-Campus
- Located in UC 119, the UM Food Pantry provides food and other supplies to any student in need.
- Up to date hours, additional resources, and locations of all anonymous grab and go shelves can be found at the Food Pantry website - umt.edu/pantry
- Students in need of nutrition counseling covering topics such as: wellness, allergies, medical restrictions, food intolerance, religious guidelines, or eating disorders can meet with a Registered Dietician through UM Dining. Off-Campus
- Missoula Food Bank & Community Center - A free food resource for all Missoulians, including UM students. This community food bank has no eligibility requirements and has staff available to assist you in signing up for additional support including SNAP, WIC, and more.
- The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a government program that provides financial assistance monthly to single people and families in need of money for food. It does require an application and and has eligibility requirements. Learn more here:

Work or Club Environment
Work Environment
- If you are experiencing conflict at your on campus job, first speak with your supervisor for support. If you are in need of additional support you can reach out to the Office of Conflict, Resolution, and Policy who have additional tools to be of assistance.
- If your direct supervisor is the perpetrator of this behavior, please reach out to their supervisor and follow next steps accordingly.
- If you are experiencing physical or verbal assault or harassment at your on campus job first speak with your supervisor and reach out to UMPD, SARC, or the Office of Conflict, Resolution, and Policy for further support.
Club Environment
- My Student Club is having internal conflict.
- What does that mean? In situations where clubs or club members are discriminatory, failing to follow bylaws, ignoring UM / ASUM Policy, or allowing conflict that cannot be resolved internally, ASUM Board on Member Organizations has the authority to intervene and correct said behavior post-investigation.
- What do I do? If you would like to reach out to the ASUM Business Manager directly, please feel free to do so at: asum.businessmgr@mso.umt.edu. If you would prefer to refer the situation directly to the Board on Member Organizations, please complete the Conflict Report Form found here: /asum/student-groups/forms.php
