
The energy and utilities branch of Facilities Services encompasses the following:
Effective management and reduction of energy consumption.
The steam-based heating plant serves the main UM Campus while operation of the central building computer control system which manages the HVAC systems in major buildings on campus.
UM Mountain Campus is considered a municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) and must comply with the applicable Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) permit.
Drinking Water Quality Control
The annual sampling of campus drinking water to ensure compliance with Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) regulations.
