Admission to the Teacher Education Program
All students seeking licensure to teach must apply for admission to the Teacher Education Program (TEP). Admission to the TEP is required before students can enroll in licensure (EDU) courses, except EDU 222 Ed Psych and Child Development, which is open to all students and carries a Social Science (“S”) general education designation. Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission. When applying to the TEP, you can choose to add a Literacy, Special Education, or Early Childhood endorsement.
Application Deadlines:
Elementary and Early Childhood Education
- September 15 for a spring start
- February 15 for a fall start
*Distant cohort students may only apply to the TEP at the February 15th deadline for a fall start.
Secondary/K-12 Education
- September 15 and November 5 for a spring start
- February 15 and April 5 for a fall start
Students are eligible for consideration for admission if they have:
