Travis Skeesick
Travis Skeesick has over 30 years of experience as a PGA Golf Professional in the golf industry. He began his teaching career during his 6 year tenure at Pasatiempo Golf Club where his focus was teaching juniors, men, women and clinics to groups of golfers. In 2000, Travis was hired at CordeValle Golf Club and proudly created the CordeValle Learning Center. The programs he created focused primarily on individual private lessons that were custom designed for golfers of all abilities for game enhancement. After 11 years, at CordeValle, Travis joined the team at San Jose Country Club and continued to provide individual lessons and coaching to the membership before he was recruited as the Director of Golf at The Australian Golf Club. While building on his expansive knowledge of the golf swing, one of the major highlights of Travis' teaching career was his responsibility administering The AGC Foundation. This selective membership consisted of extremely talented men and women golfers who are aspiring to becoming tour professionals, by working on their swings, coaching them on the course, and taking a keen interest on their goals and how to achieve them.
After arriving in Montana, his focus has been on building his Golf Academy at the UM Golf Course while also stepping into the role as Lead Instructor for PGA H.O.P.E., working with the veterans. Travis' philosophy is firmly grounded in the fundamentals of the golf swing and keeping it simple for his students. Creating realistic goals, positive coaching and enthusiasm are what make his students improve their game and provide years of enjoyment on the course
