Our Areas of Support
Admissions
No matter your career goal, joining the UM community is the first step toward mastering success. Our Admissions team is here to guide you on your journey. Whether you’re an incoming first-year student, transferring from another university, or joining us as an international student, UM’s college admissions office is here to help you get started on a life-changing education.
American Indian Student Services (AISS)
American Indian Student Services supports Native American students in their transition, achievement, and success at UM; by providing services and programs that have been established through collaborative partnerships with various campus and Missoula community members.
Associated Students of the 91次元 (ASUM)
The Associated Students of the 91次元 represents, empowers, and advocates for UM students. As your student government, ASUM offers a place to voice your comments or concerns, and it works to improve the quality of UM education, fund student groups, and provide valuable services.
Campus Dining
Campus Dining supports student success through superior cuisine, exceptional dining experiences, and sustainable business practices.
Campus Recreation
Campus Recreation provides opportunities to thrive through innovative staff, facilities, and programs.
Community Standards
The Office of Community Standards is responsible for enforcing the Student Conduct Code which embodies and promotes honesty, integrity, accountability, rights, and responsibilities associated with constructive citizenship in our academic community. The office helps students understand expected standards of behavior, including academic conduct and general conduct, and oversees students' rights, responsibilities, and the campus processes for adjudicating alleged violations.
Conference and Event Services
Conference & Event Services is a one-stop shop for planning meetings, conferences, trade shows, weddings, special events and more at UM.
Curry Health Center
Curry Health Center provides quality, affordable, accessible health care for students at UM. We promote a healthy campus by treating students with dignity and respect and through collaborating and sharing our expertise with others.
Dean of Students and Behavioral Intervention
The Dean of Students oversees student care, outreach, and support efforts and the CARES(BIT) Team, a campus-wide team of appointed professionals who are responsible for identifying, assessing, and responding to serious concerns and/or disruptive behaviors by students who may threaten the health or safety of the campus community.
Experiential Learning and Career Success (ELCS)
ELCS aims to prepare students for a meaningful career from day one. Participating in career-building and experiential learning activities such as student jobs, internships, volunteerism, and research will allow you to find your passion and gain the skills to pursue it.
Student Financial Services
At the 91次元, financial aid is about more than dollars and cents — and you’ll never feel like just a number. Our Student Financial Services strives to be both accessible and responsive. Read on to learn more about scholarships, grants, student loans, how to apply for financial aid and more.
Griz Card Center
The Griz Card Center issues the official 91次元 photo identification card. The Griz Card provides convenient access to resources and services on and off campus and can be loaded with UMoney - a prepaid flexible spending account. The Griz Card Center also offers passport photo services, name badges, and many other campus card related services.
Military and Veteran Service
The Military and Veteran Service Office assists all military-affiliated students with education benefits and resources necessary to succeed at UM.
Montana 10
Montana 10 is a Montana University System scholarship and program at the 91次元 and Missoula College. The program offers academic, social, and financial supports designed to help students succeed in college.
Office for Disability Equity (ODE)
Office for Disability Equity ensures that programs at UM are accessible and usable by students with disabilities. Access is a civil right; therefore, reasonable modifications must be made. We recognize that a “one-size-fits-all” approach is not a sound response to students with disabilities who are seeking to ensure appropriate modifications. Therefore, our staff works with each student individually and modifications are provided on a case-by-case basis.
Office for Student Success (OSS)
The Office for Student Success helps students to meet three goals:
- Transition smoothly to college
- Remain enrolled and progress in a program of study
- Graduate in a timely manner
We do this by supporting students directly and by collaborating with academic departments and University offices to provide programs and services that support student’s academic growth and personal development.
Orientation and New Student Success
UM's transition programs provide all the information new incoming students need to successfully begin their journey on campus. The orientation and transition experience extends beyond course registration. We deliver relevant and informative programming to prepare students for success and design a variety of opportunities for students to connect with their new peers, current UM students, and broader campus and Missoula community.
Student Advocacy Resource Center (SARC)
The Student Advocacy Resource Center celebrates diversity, supports the right of all students to pursue success in our academic community, openly respects and cares for everyone, and is committed to a campus free from discrimination and unwelcome physical, sexual, emotional or social coercion. It is our goal that every interaction and every communication be respectful, considerate, professional, and supportive. If you have experienced sexual assault, relationship violence, bullying, intimidation, or discrimination, SARC is here to help you. Our services are comprehensive and we actively listen, believe in, assist and support our clients. Based on your decisions and choices, we also provide referrals, connections, and advocacy within the justice, medical, and social service systems. Our work is personal for you and your circumstances. All our services are confidential and free.
Student Life
Student Life leads student programs including the Campus Activities Board (CAB), Fraternity and Sorority Involvement, the Gaming Den, LeadershipU, and the Branch Center.
UM Housing
UM Housing provides safe, clean, healthy, and affordable living and learning facilities that foster an inclusive community living environment for students, staff, faculty, and guests. The UM Housing Office manages three areas, Residence Halls, Lewis and Clark Village, and University Villages, which provide a variety of housing options for single students, students with dependents, and University guests. Services provided in these facilities support and nurture educational experiences and personal development at the 91次元.
University Center (UC)
The University Center designs programs and activities that appeal to a wide variety of student interests. The UC offers myriad services including an art gallery, hi-tech study lounge, game room, theater, conferencing services, shipping and mail center, bank and ATM’s, copy center, full-service hair salon, bookstore, market, food court, student life programming, and the Griz Card Center.
