There are five (5) propane burning fire pits in the University Quad closest to the northeast oval quad. Fire pit lighting for free public enjoyment times and dates TBA. Outside of these times the fire pits are lit by reservation or for special events.
The fire pits burn propane and are not wood burning and are allowed under Missoula Municipal Code 8.60.
Group Reservations & Rates
Grab your friends and a blanket! Fire pits will be open and available for reservation during the winter season (conditions dependent). Fire pit reservations are first come first serve based on reservation. Each reservation come with:
- Propane fire pits.
- Four (4) Adirondacks per pit for a total of sixteen (16) chairs per
- Fee is for space only – all food, beverage, and additional supplies outside package deals are purchased separately.
Fire Pits: $170
Half Fire Pits w/Single Dome: $110
Fire pits reservations are based on availability as well as staffing availability. Typical rental hours are from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. during non-academic year and from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. during the academic year.
