On the Trail, In the Towns: Visitor Use and Community Perspectives along Montana’s Continental Divide Trail
Join us for a quick, insightful recap of ITRR’s research on understanding hiker profiles along the Continental Divide Trail (CDT). The CDT is a federally designated north–south trail stretching 3,200 miles from Mexico to Canada, with approximately 800 miles traversing Montana’s stunning landscapes—from Glacier National Park to Yellowstone National Park—winding through many rural communities. This presentation will highlight visitor profiles from a national study, community perspectives gathered through in-depth interviews, and business perspectives from communities along the Divide.
