Sustainability

Mission

The Office of Sustainability at the 91次元 facilitates and supports a campus culture of environmental stewardship in keeping with our mission of inclusive prosperity and ‘resourceful stewardship of the land that sustains us.’  Working with partners across campus, we aim to improve our students’ literacy of sustainability issues and proactively develop policies and initiatives that bring us closer to that goal.

We believe that change starts with individuals and grows through collective action. 

  • We empower students, staff, and faculty to lead sustainability projects and initiatives. 
  • Our programs are designed to uplift everyday champions and create ripple effects across campus.

  • We partner with departments, students, and community organizations.

Our work is rooted in the social, cultural, and environmental context of Missoula and Montana. 

  • We aim to make decisions that reflect the diverse values and realities of our local community.
