Launch Your Grizzly Journey Early!
Why wait until fall? Get ahead on your college journey with Summer Launch! This five-week online program gives incoming first-year students the opportunity to earn up to six college credits before their first semester - saving time and money, lightening future course loads, and building momentum and academic confidence for a strong start in the fall.

When? June 22 – July 24, 2026
Where? Online
What Courses Will I Take? During the five-week summer session, students will complete one or two online courses that satisfy a UM general education requirement. All courses are fully online and delivered asynchronously, allowing students to work at their own pace without any face-to-face interaction with instructors or students.
Why? Students will have the opportunity to get ahead on coursework, participate in smaller classes, and get to virtually know the ins and outs of an online UM college course.

How Can I be Successful? Students should expect to dedicate an average of 5–10 hours per week to coursework, depending on whether you enroll in one or two courses. Be sure to balance the program with your summer activities and job. Students will need reliable access to a computer with a microphone and video capability, plus a stable internet connection so you are ready for the full five weeks.
