Clinical Education
The UMPT Clinical Education Program requires students to complete a total of 36 weeks of clinical experience consisting of 2 integrated, part-time experiences and 3 full-time clinical experiences, along with participation in community outreach and interprofessional collaborations to promote professional development outside of traditional physical therapy training.
Mission
The Clinical Education Program of the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at The 91次元 has the primary mission of providing students the requisite experiential learning opportunities to become proficient, entry-level practitioners upon graduation.
Clinical Experiences
Year 1
Clinical Experience Introductory Course
15 hours of community outreach, interprofessional education, and orientation to clinical practice.
Clinical Experience I
8 weeks, full-time, off-campus in the Summer semester
Year 2
Integrated Clinical Experience I (ICE)
7 weeks, part-time, in the Spring semester
Clinical Experience II
8 weeks, full-time, off-campus in the Summer semester
Year 3
Integrated Clinical Experience II (ICE)
7 weeks, part-time, in the Fall semester
Full-Time Clinical Experience III
15 weeks, full-time, off-campus in the Spring semester

Clinical Instructors
The contributions of clinical instructors are invaluable to our profession, our program and society.
