NEOED Perform
What is it?
Perform allows for a means by which employee performance evaluation can be evolved into a process that allows for continuous engagement throughout the entirety of a given evaluation period. Offering a more wholistic approach to employee performance evaluation, Perform transforms the method for offering and documenting feedback on employee performance to one that is collaborative between employee and supervisor, and provides for a meaningful dialogue that is continually focused upon highlighting and developing competencies over providing a limited summary of work-related activities accomplished.
What does it do?
Through tools provided to allow for regular engagement between management and supervised employees (such as through features such as journaling, varied surveying options to engage key stakeholders and document management options), Perform allows for employee performance assessment to be a continuous process that prioritizes development, as opposed to purely rating performance based outcomes at preset intervals.
Perform also dramatically enhances customization options, so that the assessment is tailored meaningfully and directly to the position evaluated. By allowing management a host of customization options that will allow for performance evaluation to reflect the unique nature of the host of jobs that exist on our campus and provide a truer depiction of the work being done by those comprising our highly diversified workforce.
By leveraging a suite of tracking options, competency based evaluation tools, and a host of customization possibilities, Perform will allow for more complete and timely evaluation of the work being done by our campus community in a way that comprehensively captures the complete scope overall employee performance.

Only if you are part of one of the selected pilot groups. Everyone else will complete evaluations as in the past.

We will create user guides and offer training sessions for employees and managers. We will also provide training modules via NEOED Learn.

No. The faculty evaluation process is conducted through Interfolio.

You can expect a vastly improved experience from using paper evaluations. Employees and manages will have the ability to input information throughout the year, view current and prior evaluations completed in the system and follow the process much more easily. The system will track due dates and remind managers and employees of deadlines. The system will create greater visibility and accountability to ensure evaluations are completed.

Certain aspects of evaluations will be able to be customized for the work employees are doing. Managers can work with their assigned HR Client Partner to review their evaluation and receive guidance.

Perform offers us many positive differences. We will no longer be using a paper process. All work on the evaluation including approvals and acknowledgements will be digital. We will have greater visibility of the process and deadlines for employees and managers. Perform will goffer a constant conversation model as opposed to a once a year get together. We will have greater ability to craft evaluations that more accurately reflect the work being done and recognize good work.
