UM-TAC: Strengthening Montana's Prevention Workforce
Empowering Montana's prevention specialists and supervisors with evidence-based training and technical support to reduce substance misuse across all age groups, guided by SAMHSA's national strategic framework.
What is Prevention?
"Someone keeps rescuing people from a river, but eventually wonders—why are so many falling in? By going upstream to prevent people from entering the dangerous current, fewer need rescuing downstream. That’s the power of prevention."
Adopted from New England Prevention Specialist Onboarding and Orientation Roadmap
Opportunities
The 10th Annual SRPF Virtual Conference seeks submissions of virtual sessions and workshops aligned with the conference theme, Thriving Together: Building Sustainable Prevention, Resilience, and Healing, and its goals. The SRPF Conference brings together prevention professionals and others who want to drive community change and build prevention skills. Proposed sessions should support attendees in acquiring tangible skills to advance and sustain prevention work, strengthening connections among peers, and discovering resources to improve health outcomes for all.
