Our College
The College of Humanities and Sciences is undergoing a transformative 2025-2026 academic year during which we will develop from one college into two separate colleges. The smaller college structure will allow for more focused attention for students, faculty, and staff and will help us to better ensure that all UM students receive an education that expands their knowledge of the world, challenges them to pursue their dreams, and gives them the skills to make those dreams come true.
During this interim period the departments of the natural sciences, computer science, and math are being led by Interim Dean Bruce Bowler. Interim Dean Christina Yoshimura is heading up the departments of the humanities and social sciences. The websites for these two new colleges are currently under development– stay tuned!
