Students: How to Request an Accommodation
-
Contact the Student Accommodations Coordinator
Initiate your request by informing the Student Accommodations Coordinator that you have a pregnancy-related limitation. -
Interactive Process
You’ll be invited to meet and discuss your needs. Documentation may be requested to help determine appropriate modifications. After the meeting, the Student Accommodations Coordinator will work with your faculty, academic departments, and—if appropriate—your graduate advisor to assess any barriers to access, course requirements, or technical standards, and determine what reasonable accommodations will be provided.
-
Final Determination Letter
After review, a letter outlining approved modifications will be issued. -
Share with Faculty
You are responsible for providing the letter to your professors and requesting modifications. Retroactive requests are not guaranteed. -
Ongoing Support
Stay in communication with the Student Accommodations Coordinator if new needs arise or modifications aren't implemented as expected.
