Classroom furniture
ODE and Facilities Services work together to provide alternative classroom furniture to students whose standard chairs and desks are inaccessible due to physical disability. Examples of alternative furniture include:
- Adjustable and padded chairs
- Separate tables
- Stand-up desks
Requesting alternative furniture
Students approved for alternative furniture accommodations should contact their access consultant with the following details:
- Type and quantity of furniture needed (e.g., 1 padded chair, 1 table)
- Classroom location(s) (e.g., Social Science Building, Room 352)
- Day(s) and time(s) of the class
- Preferred furniture placement within the room (e.g., front of the classroom)
