New Resident Parking Permits

Parking passes for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 semester will go on sale August 1st. If you are an on-campus resident student, you might notice that you have two parking pass options to choose from, the Resident Student Main Pass and the Resident Student Remote Pass. Learn more about the pros and cons of each pass so you can make the best decision for your car needs.
Resident Student Main Pass: The Resident Student Main Pass allows you to park on main campus in lot’s K, J, E, V-1, W-2 and designated areas in W and G. The Resident Student Main Pass costs $200 per semester and provides added convenience to students who regularly require their vehicle to travel off-campus.
Pros:
- Easy access to your vehicle at all times.
- Convenient parking for students who require regular use of their vehicle.
Cons
- More costly
- Students will still be required to move their vehicles for events, campus operations, ect.
Resident Student Remote Pass: The Resident Student Remote Pass allows you to park off campus in designated Dornblaser Field, Lewis & Clark, and Missoula College lots. The Resident Student Remote Pass costs $100 per semester and provides a less stressful parking experience for students who do not require regular use of their vehicle.
Pros:
- Cost efficient.
- Convenient UDASH transportation to Main Campus until 8:00 PM and on-demand GrizWalk rides from dusk to dawn.
- Less competition for spaces.
Cons:
- Not as convenient for students who require regular use of their car.
- Requires more time management.
Passes are limited and will sell out. Passes are sold on a semester basis, and you will be required to purchase a new pass for the Spring semester. If you purchase a Remote parking pass, you will not be allowed to park on Main Campus. Violators will be ticketed.
