How did you come to work at your organization?
I began teaching in 1992 to fill a need as the human services program began to grow.
What do you appreciate most about supervising practicum students?
Supervising students gives me hope for the future, that the values of the profession will be sustained and practiced in the future.
What does being a social worker mean to you?
I am an advocate, most importantly, for those who need a voice.
How does your role as a social worker relate to your role as a supervisor?
I am always learning, always teaching, always listening.
What is the most important thing you hope your practicum students take with them into their careers?
The horizon is wide…to learn, experience new things, and find meaning in what you do daily.
