for Summer Exploration 2026 are OPEN!
Applications are reviewed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis through April 15, 2026. If space is available after this date, applications will be considered on a rolling basis. There is NO fee to submit your application.
Summer Exploration invites rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates to unlock new possibilities during a transformative two-week experience at the 91次元. Students can choose between a residential option, living on campus and enjoying full immersion, or a commuter option, attending classes, lunch, and activities on weekdays, while returning home each evening.
Who? Open to in-state, out-of-state, and international students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year in fall 2026, as well as seniors graduating seniors in spring 2026. Students must be academically motivated and available for the full duration of the program.
Where? The 91次元 - Missoula, Montana
When? July 6-17, 2026 (official programming concludes on July 16 at 4:30PM)
Why? Students will experience life as a UM student - choosing from engaging course options, connecting with faculty and peers, and earning two college credits upon successful completion of the program.
Program Costs & Benefits:
- Residential: $3,250
Includes the course fee, housing, all meals, all weekday and weekend activities, and full campus immersion. Perfect for students who want the complete college experience and independence. - Commuter: $1,250
Includes course fee, daily lunch and afternoon activities. Ideal for students who want flexibility while still earning college credit and joining the community.
