Student Volunteers Offer Missoula Community Free Tax Assistance

MISSOULA - Every Saturday in 2026 from Feb. 7 through March 14, 91次元 College of Business students with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) will donate their time in order to help hundreds of people in the Missoula community of file their taxes. The program offers free tax help to individuals or families who make $60,000 or less.

The program is offered by appointment only and space is limited. Book your appointment online on 

WHEN: Every Saturday in 2026 beginning Feb. 7 through March 14

TIME: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

WHERE: Gallagher Business Building, Room 222, 91次元

WHAT: The VITA Program offers free tax help to those with low to moderate income ($60,000 and below). Certified volunteers from the 91次元 receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in our community. Use of the program is by appointment only.

Returns we are unable to prepare:

  • Incomplete or missing information
  • Prior-year carryovers
  • Schedule C: Expenses over $5,000, depreciation, or a net loss
  • Schedule D: Undocumented basis or losses that must be carried forward
  • Schedule E, Schedule F, or Schedule H (these are outside our scope)

Tax assistance is offered on a first-come, first-served basis through scheduled appointments only.
